Local businessman, Jerry Scheidegger is well known for his dedication to serving the community. Born and raised in St. Charles, Scheidegger has been one of the key players in helping to make his hometown area both prosperous and compassionate. After finishing high school and joining the service, Jerry returned to St. Charles engaging in small entrepreneurial ventures where he learned everything he could from his personal business experiences.
Today the Scheidegger family owns Corporate Group, Inc. and manages property they own or have ownership in, located in St. Charles, Warren Counties, Lake of the Ozarks, and residential development in Colorado.
In the past forty years he has been a member of the Home Builders Association and on numerous committees of the St. Charles County Board of Realtors. Mr. Scheidegger is currently on Lindenwood University’s Board of Directors, and is a board member of St. Charles GoodFellas, a non-for-profit he began in 2009 that has raised $50,000 per year for youth in St. Charles County.
Mr. Scheidegger is also a past Director of the Howell Foundation, past member of the Community Board of Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital, Past President Salvation Army, past Member of the Advisory Board of Bridgeway Behavioral Health, past Member of the St. Charles Partners for Progress, past President of Parents Association of William Woods College, past Director of Duchesne High School Board. The Scheideggers support many organizations.
Over the years Mr. Scheidegger has received many awards. In 2012 he received the Greater St. Charles County Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year and Duchesne Spirit of Alumni Achievement Awards. He received the St. Louis 2011 Outstanding Philanthropist for the Spirit of Outstanding Individual Partnership Award. Mr. Scheidegger has also received the 1999 Youth In Need Award and 2006 St. Charles Business Magazine 50 over 50 Community Shaper Award. He has also received the Pear Award of St. Charles Community College.
